Rugs Creations

Founded in 2008 by Mr. Gaurav Chugh and Mr. Vinay Chugh, Rugs Creations has emerged as a leading industry in Panipat, where this set up serves as a global brand by exporting to over 60 countries. This field visit gave us a chance to experience how craftsmanship meets high-end technology.

Interview with the Founders

Our team was delighted to meet the founders of Rugs Creation and was able to get a deeper understanding of manufacturing, exports and how to keep up with trends while ensuring that every process from selection of thread to transportation stays environmentally friendly.

Rugs  Creations are not only making rugs but also building a sustainable textile future.

Unlike many traditional industries, they use renewable energy forms, which reduces carbon emission of every square foot produced. They used recycled water for their production, which became a new role model for a water-intensive industry like textiles. They used non-toxic dyes and eco-conscious materials to ensure that the “heritage” they export is safe for both the users and the makers.

They practice vertical integration to produce their products, where starting from the production of the yarn to the weaving of the rugs and the design and quality check of the products, every bit is done and managed by Rugs Creations. They have no middlemen in the process, which reduces any possibility of delays and drawbacks and helps them become more price competitive in the global market.

Connecting the SDG 5 and 8, we saw that women have equal access to all their roles and indulge themselves in every department.

While taking interviews of most of the people,  we got to know that they were working in the factories because their families practiced in the textile industry for generations, while some women developed an interest in this industry and further carried on by learning the art of weaving and working here.

Every product meets their standards of global certifications, matching the standards needed to meet the quality of the international markets.
